At Hanoi Design Centre, we’re committed to people—not just products. We work with more than 3,000 artisans in different rural areas of Vietnam; most of them are women to produce handcrafted products. We’re making long-term commitments to each of these makers and helping them scale their businesses—in many cases, working with them to secure additional funding and equipment. We maintain high standards of ethical sourcing, and we’re transparent about our business practices. We’re also committed to getting a little greener every day. Our products are either certified organic, recycled, rapidly renewable, non-toxic, reclaimed or responsibly produced from certified materials. We are actually the leading organization that work with natural dyes for ethnic textiles in Vietnam and in the region. We always respect principles of fair trade in all our activities. Fair trade provides under- and unemployed artisans with an opportunity to earn vital income and improve their quality of life by establishing a sustainable market for their handcrafted products.
